What dry lining is
Dry lining means covering walls and ceilings with plasterboard instead of applying wet plaster straight onto the brick. The boards are then skimmed or taped and filled to give a smooth surface.
When it's the right choice
It's quicker to dry than traditional plaster, and it's a good way to straighten uneven walls, hide pipes and cables, or add insulation to a cold outside wall. It's used throughout loft and cellar conversions and extensions.
